Sunsets & Sunrises: Lessons from ʻāina, kūpuna, & kumu
This month brought an abundance of gratitude and manaʻo from visitors to xuycun from Hawai’i, Guahan, and the Mariana Islands. One of the many lessons shared by these visitors included the importance of supporting kūpuna in their transition to sunset and accepting kuleana in the transition to sunrise. These photos capture moments of intergenerational knowledge exchange and the calling forth of haumāna eager to learn from ʻāina, kūpuna, and kumu.
